Dissecting U.S. Elections - the People vs. the Pols

The establishment has an entrenched interest in convincing the public that their vote in elections actually decides who is selected for public office. That same power elite runs and controls both Republican and Democratic political parties. Only a neophyte or a delusional idealist believes that the voting cycle reflects the will of the people. When reform candidates engage in the primary process, hoping to win the nomination from either of the two major parties, they face the stark reality that playing ball with the money bundlers means obeying the directives of masters of the universe. These overlords own politicians, especially those who continue in office by winning predetermined elections.

Government Siege and National Rape

All Americans share the shame of the charade that pretends to be the Federal Government. The governance class operates in a manner that thinks the voice of the people is irrelevant. The current shutdown of public services is a selected con game run by "Federalies" thugs. This latest extortion racket intends to break the spirit of reform and sensible opposition. The crony capitalist takeover of the health care system only benefits the corporatists. The insurance companies stand to reap tribute from the masses, while the special interest friends of the Obama syndicate get exemptions. Make no mistake, the den of thieves that defend Obamacare, as the "law of the land" is a herd of habitual liars.

The EPA an Out of Control Monster

Government arrogance and pious hypocrisy reaches a new high when the sinister Environmental Protection Agency strikes out to save the children. The official position on the EPA website has one singing the Amerika version of "Don’t cry for me Argentina". EPA Proposes First Carbon Pollution Standard for Future Power Plants

Different Kinds of Gulags

From the land down under a report written by Russell Skelton surfaces  - It's time to admit we've created a Gulag.  "The Baxter detention centre, once touted as a model holding centre for illegal arrivals, has degenerated into an immigration Gulag.  Unlike convicted criminals, immigration detainees serve no set term and can be held indefinitely. John Harley, South Australia's Public Advocate, is incensed at the lack of rights accorded Baxter's 225 detainees, many of whom are entering their fourth year there. Peter Qasim, a Kashmiri, is in his sixth year with no hope of release because no country will accept him."

What Makes a Republican - a REPUBLICAN?

We have spent the better part of the last half century forgetting the reasons that Republicans are part of an American First tradition and the real meaning of the GOP. Just what are the principles and policies that separate the platform of Republicans from that of the Socialists that wear the Democratic label? Sorry to say, not much of a difference presently exists; let alone a dedication to enact legislation that counters the legacy of FDR. It wasn't like this - once upon a time . . .  For Republicans knew what they were all about and had an example of a true champion of principle in one, Senator Robert A. Taft.

Airports

Well, here we go again! Invoking the Interstate Commerce Act as authority to create another incompetent federal agency is like giving candy to the FAA diabetic. Never met a Union I didn't love is the motto of the 'bad seed'. Remember PATCO, Jimmie? That stellar example of collective bargaining that got fined, $34 million, out of existence. Or is your memory confined just to counting sick and personal days in your union contract?

Global Fair Trade

Do you view the world from the perspective of a globalist? If you consider yourself a progressive you may answer that the entire earth needs to be taken as a whole. But if you are a rational and reflective person, your reply should always be conditional. If we are talking about an impending collision with a deadly asteroid, a planetary response would be sensible. However, if the topic is world trade, a blanket universality of equivalence, defies reasonable judgment.

Wrong Solutions form the Left

While many Republican moderates and some conservatives support the Bush administration, most of them agree that those from the Left are plain dead wrong on their opposition. How nice it would be if it was that simple! The fools game of believing that political rhetoric is consistent with actual policy action is the one factor that can be countered upon to win every election. If Republicans really stood for limited government, we would support them at every turn. But we all know better or at least we should understand the real record doesn’t support the discourse.

Politicos feed a moldy loaf

The Uses of Enchantment: The Meaning and Importance of Fairy Tales, also applies to politics. Those yarns of fantasy are told by the wizards and witches and believed by the children. Make believe is their way of life and substance is a condition to be avoided. Lessons deserving to be taught, no longer fit the mold. In this palace no one lives happily ever after. Only sorcery has sway and the frogs do all the kissing. But they never smooch with a princess, only with a wiccan; and school all the little kids in the practice of hocus pocus.

Playing the Trump Card for Political Correctness

The hideous disgust, that so many American have for politics, has raised its wretched head once again. The culprits are familiar. The tactics are well established. And the source of the slime comes out of a pathetic nihilism that is known as “Political Correctness”. The cultural assault that has turned political dialogue into an authoritarian inquisition lies at the foundation of much of what is wrong with public life. Free Speech does not exist for those, who presume to challenge the sacred tenants of totalitarian assimilation. Any society that punishes someone who opposes the mythical postulates that racism, equal rights and a collectivist world view is dangerous. When the only allowable viewpoint is dictated by Marxist comrades, coexistence is not possible.

Patriotism and Civil Disobedience

As the NATO juggernaut directed by a U.S. NeoCon foreign policy marches towards a nuclear confrontation with Russia, the American public is being manipulated to accept that Foggy Bottom knows best. Even under the placid Obama regime, the chicken hawks are able to restart a new cold war that is getting hotter by the moment. The singular opportunity to forge a lasting peace after the fall of the Soviet Union has been squandered by the globalists, who lust after their only superpower status. Well, the time is approaching for payback. Only God can prevent the annihilation from WWIII, since Dr. Strangelove has the code for the nukes and the culture that permeates military planning actually believes that a nuclear war can be won.

The North Korea Paper Tiger

If you listen to the alarm coming out of the imperium empire media, you would think that missiles would be flying at any moment. That medieval torture regime noted for starving their population is boasting that a bellicose attack is imminent. Of course, their propagandists are pointing the finger at the Yankee bully that is the perennial bogyman posed to snuff out the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Such an earthly paradise is billed as a “genuine workers' state in which all the people are completely liberated from exploitation and oppression. The workers, peasants, soldiers and intellectuals are the true masters of their destiny and are in a unique position to defend their interests.”

Sustainability in All Things except Rational Thinking

Few words stir up passion and polarization like sustainability. The EPA offers up this description. "The traditional definition of sustainability calls for policies and strategies that meet society’s present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." Gee, who could disagree with such touchy and feely sentiments? The answer is always in the details and when you strip away the platitudes, what remains is a coordinated plot to enslave humanity under a burden of a Carbon Tax scheme. The environment has more risk from globalist central planning than from any fossil fuel emissions. Proponents of the global warming religion demonstrate a disdain for rational thinking that challenges their doctrine of a heterodox belief. The sustainability cult ignores any evidence that conflicts with their political agenda.

Who’s Burden is the Dark Continent?

At the turn of the twentieth century, Rudyard Kipling wanted the colonial powers to bear a burden that only advanced societies could endure. Take up the White Man's burden was the theme in his poem that summoned up an entire age of guilt and greed. When the verse first appeared in McClure's Magazine, the lines of empire were long drawn by Western Nations as they sliced and diced colonies under the chant that they were protectorates of the mother country.

Democrats Delusional Worldview

Democratic politics is a false premise experiment. The foundation of the modern liberalism, based upon an erroneous worldview, is a dead end ideology. Compared to the mad NeoCon war-mongering alternative, the fatal attraction of progressives, allures weak minded and desperate people into thinking government can provide solutions. Step back from the false left-right political discussions and focus upon the principles that make up sound and balanced standards for a civil society.

Running Chinese Trade Deficits

Just look at the U.S. trade deficit and track the evaporation of your standard of living in one extended exhale of life’s breath.  Reported by the Economic Policy Institute, the U.S. Department of Commerce reported that the international deficit in goods and services trade reached a record level of $726 billion in 2005, an 18% increase over 2004. The growth of the trade deficit with China, which reached $202 billion in 2005, was responsible for the entire increase in the United States’ non-oil trade deficit.  Factor out the enormous cost of waging a contracted garrison presence in the Middle East and the subsequent increase in the cost of oil from regional market disruptions and you are left with a trade crisis that threatens the very economic independence of the American economy.

Globalism Dissension

Did you hear that Donald Rumsfeld and Richard Perle attended the last Bilderberg meeting near Versailles? Even if you are a skeptic of the dominance of these elites, one can hardly dismiss their influence. So when there is a rare dispute among their ranks, it would be news. However, reports in the mainstream press about the latest plans of this shrouded collaboration is the only secret that is kept in the rush to scoop the continuous news cycle.

Why the GOP are cowards

Republicanism is not equivalent with the GOP political party. Genuine conservatism has had fleeting representation within that party. Examine the history and the principles of each. A real conservative stands for the principles of individual civil liberty and personal responsibility, limited government, states rights, separation of powers - federalism, minimal taxes, honest money, bona fide free enterprise, defense of borders, an American First foreign policy, lawful statues and traditional values. A true conservative believes in the righteousness of the 1776 Revolution. Republicans that are authentic conservatives have a serious dilemma, how do you justify the record of the GOP?

The Economic Dilemma

Most people are simply put off with politics. Even for those who have a passing interest, many conclude that nothing can be done to make any changes. Then there are those who are relatively content with society, how it works and their place within it. Finally, there are folks who are totally disgusted with government and are engaged in politics to alter the system. All have one thing in common. Money bonds everyone together, even those unwilling to function in society, are moved to bow to its reality.

Third Parties

Since the Nation was formed as a Republic, underlying principles of Democracy have been hailed as the bedrock expression of authority. The practice of one man, one vote; evolved into the basis of legitimacy, as the consent of the citizen was registered for their form of government. With the creation of political parties, the organization of public power was instituted. Parties became the repository for election seekers to gain office. They also developed into organizations where patronage was gained, policies could be influenced and access to political favors could be secured. The duopoly rivalry that emerged over the centuries, grew from the reality of being 'in or out' of power, more than deep seeded ideological principles. For in its bare raw brute reality, politics is about power. How you get it, what you do when you have it, and how you keep it.

Hate Laws Intended to Silence Truth

In a relativism culture of social permissiveness, the non-judgmental attitude, held out as the suitable standard for conduct, has become the politically correct behavior. One might think that anything goes under this mindset. However, the exact opposite practice and enforcement, under the most rigid conditions, is championed as necessary for enlighten and tolerant liberalists. The proliferation of demands that hate speech is the new capital crime, actually is counter iterative in building a civil society. This orthodoxy of the fanatical, proudly presents this illuminated and required deportment, as obligatory for all citizens.

Road to Serfdom, Yesterday and Today

The path to a Global Gulag is paved with failed promises and stern submission. The functions of governments change little over time. Only the intensity of applying current techniques of crowd control evolves for making the task easier to corral the rowdy into prisons of their minds. Force works because people allow themselves to be intimidated and government stooges are willing to rejoice in the celebration of human misery. The police state stems from an entitlement of State tyranny, which justifies its existence based upon an absolutism of authority.

Supreme Justice from a Court?

Well, this may be the season for the long rumored retirements from the Supreme Court. As speculation grows, and factions position themselves to go to battle, will confirmation hearings turn into the Borking of another jurist or two? With the prospects of another shameful saga, one might imagine that the majority on such a court could pick the next president! Appointees for life become entrenched political creatures - who would think it possible? It seems like the liberals, and those who claim to be progressive, are determined to forestall anybody remotely tainted with that conservative label. For these groups, a strict constructionist is anyone who can read the text of a law and rules on its constitutionality based upon the original document. Far too dangerous to have such judges elevated to the top court.
