As the exodus of well rewarded
jobs leave our shores or evaporate as downsizing efficiency marches onward, we
are left with an inevitable conclusion. Life is getting harder, earning a
livable income is more difficult and the prospects for the future are less
upbeat. Covering all the reasons for this shift - away from a secure future -
are continuous themes for pundits and reporters. The world is quite different
from the fabulous fifties, when a father could support a family without working
overtime.
