What It Means To Be A Reactionary

The popular depiction for the word Reactionary gives the definition - an extreme conservative; an opponent of progress or liberalism.  A more in-depth amplification is once again found in Wikipedia.  “Reactionary (or reactionist) is a political epithet typically applied to extreme ideological conservatism, especially that which wishes to return to a real or imagined old order of things, and which is willing to use coercive means to do so. The term is primarily used as a term of opprobrium (groups rarely identify themselves as reactionary), meant to assert the idea that the opposition is based in merely reflexive politics rather than responsive and informed views. More specifically, the term "reactionary" is frequently used to refer to those who want to reverse (or prevent) some form of claimed "progressive" change. (An equivalent term would be "regressivism." The term reaction is sometimes used as a general term for the program or philosophy of designated reactionaries.)

Total Recall

Is it possible that Gray Davis will be ‘Terminated’ - not deceased, in the normal manner, but expired from political mortality? All the hullabaloo isn’t just Hollywood hype, it’s fanciful expectation for the disgruntled, from a state which popularizes fantasy fiction screen plays. Acumen about real world politics, is left to celebrity insiders, as the general audience experiences their feelings. The political pros, just nod and give lip service to this psyche, as they go on their merry way pillaging and plundering the State. No wonder the excitement that Governor Davis might get 'Schwarzenegged' by the rage from a machine.

The Village Idiot Strikes Gold

With all the success that Bill O’Reilly has achieved, one would think the king of cable news must be reporting a message that the public frantically loves. Well, it seems style - once again - wins out over substance. The only talking points you need to remember is that a “No Spin Zone” doesn’t mean it has no filters. When Fox News broke the mold and zoomed in on the rage of a modern day Joe Pyne, the viewer got a nightly fix most needed. O’Reilly was not a new boy on the block. Ever since his hosting of  "Inside Edition", he had a popular following. But his “Factor” has a format that cuts through the clutter, with all the ease of melting butter parting ways, with his sharp tongue skirmishes with guests. Any junkie addicted to the program knows when Bill doesn’t host, the spectacle falters. A tight focus and investigated reports often strike a direct hit. So what is the problem with dear old Bill?

Speech Reform Campaign

WOW! It’s like dodging a bullet. Just imagine a political campaign that broadcasts issue ads financed with unregulated donations? Think about it - permitting messages aired 60 days before a general election and 30 days before a primary election if they identify a federal candidate. What’s next - endorsement of specific issues? Aren’t you glad the Supreme Court has seen fit to convene their first special session in 27 years to pronounce from on high the allowable limits of free speech?

The American "TC" Saga - Part 2 - STATE

Much of western civilization political thought is devoted to the nature of the STATE. Centuries of experience and aspiration are embroiled in the fundamental dichotomy between the individual and the state. When the understanding of this chronicle is applied to the American Saga, a central question emerges. By what authority does the state claim legitimacy?

A Constitution Flawed from Inception

At the outset, many of the framers of the U.S Constitution were the best minds and mainly principled advocates of self-government. Their attempt to achieve a model for a “Federalism” form of a Republic is certainly unique in history. With great gratitude, successive generations should admire and respect an intellectual application and recognition that government, by composition, should be feared and restrained. The irony that some authors possessed such wisdom, and constraints were codified, does not match with the unfortunate record for their creation. Their endeavor proved insufficient to alter the base character of human nature.  Acknowledgement of historic fact, does not desecrate the failed effort, but celebrates the attempt. Without necessary criticism the prospect for any meaningful revision is impossible.

What Does it Mean To Be A Radical?

The meaning of language is often misunderstood, but the confusion that comes out of the pure ignorance for disregarding history, is boundless.  From Wikipedia: the term Radical (latin radix meaning root) has been used since the late 18th century as a label in political science for those favouring or trying to produce thoroughgoing or extreme political reforms which can include changes to the social order to a greater or lesser extent. Historical Radicalism was quite distinct from the modern American usage of radical to denote political extremes of right or left.  An insightful way to examine the meaning of being radical can be found in the tragic chronicle that destroyed the vaulted Republic.  The watershed event that caused the decisive destruction of the American experiment was the War of Northern Aggression.  In order to gain the significance of that era, a short account of the Republican party is most useful.

Obama Firing of Military Reminiscent of Stalin's Purge

The unprecedented removal from command, ending of military careers and forced retirements is a sign that a new reign of terror wants to weaken the armed forces. The civilian Obama command, bosses generals and admirals, as if they were lowly cooks or stewards. It is no wonder that resentment and disgust in the officer corps are at an all time high. Before long, the commander of collectivists will be deploying taste testers before he takes his meals.

Our Dear “Beloved Leaders”

Once there was a grand land where individuals achieved great things. They fought for their freedom and formed a representative government, based upon a constitution. Their leaders were noble men and understood the lessons of the past. A system called “federalism” was designed that shared authority and restricted amassing too much power in any particular political office. A unique distribution of duties and responsibilities were defined and all remaining functions and ruling charges were retained by separate and independent states that made up this fine experiment for union. What an admirable attempt to protect the human dignity of citizens and to invent an environment for personal prosperity and that gracious concept - the pursuit of happiness . . .

Intrinsic Reality of the State

Inevitably, political discourse reverts to discussions on the nature of government. It is impossible to ignore the historic record that the "State" has succeeded in fostering the misery of humanity. The legitimate need to organize society is rooted in the desire of man to achieve reason and order to his community. But in practice, the means to accomplish sensible organization - always turns to the most sinister side of human nature. It is because of this base character, that the inescapable abuse of government - is the fate of the human condition.

Obama Zombies are Alinsky Fanatics

The wackos that believe that Barack Hussein Obama is a political rock star are blind to reality. It would be one thing if eccentric characteristics shaped such opinions of social outcasts, but when entire segments of the MTV population speak in a PBS lisp, the liberal popular culture has drunk the kool aid. The zombie rage in flicks is no accident. Converting entire generations of lost souls into National Civilian Service Corps NSA informants is an effortless task, when government schooled illiterates adore Barry Soetoro. Turning a constitutional republic into a collectivist gulag is only possible, when the greater fool principle becomes the law of the land.

A True Greek Tragedy - Odyssey of the EU

The cradle of democracy is under attack. The Inherent Autonomy of the human spirit is at stake. What was won at the Battle of Thermopylae, was lost in the banksters board rooms that control the EU. The fluidity of this definitive game of chicken, poses the beheading of the rooster and the scorching of all the hens. This journey into Land of the Lotus Eaters, not only needs to blind Polyphemus, but must destroy his New World Order father, Poseidon. The designed destruction of democratic authority is meant to eliminate any referendum on the EU despotism. The phony debt instruments caused the Greek default, that will soon spread the planetary misery, on the rest of us. Western civilization’s birth, owes homage to the Greek principle of individual autonomy. Its demise is a product of the inherent betrayal of humanity by the forces of financial exploitation, that exemplifies 1 Timothy 6:10, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.

Mainstream Media Establishment Gatekeepers at the Presidential Debates

What can be said about a culture that continues to watch, much less listen to the drivel that masquerades as professional journalism? Anyone who is exposed to the continuous assault on common sense and intellectual integrity must resent the insults to the intelligence of the average voter. An electorate tunes into this charade of managed and filtered questions out of habit and certainly not from a motivation of discovering solutions. The bottom line is that the entire process of Presidential election coverage is designed to keep people in the dark.

Afghanistan - Failed War from a False Empire

What did the last decade accomplish in the occupation of Afghanistan? Other than streamlining the opium shipment trade, what did this foreign expedition achieve? Wikipedia reports, "As of December 29, 2011, there have been 2,765 coalition deaths in Afghanistan as part of ongoing coalition operations (Operation Enduring Freedom and ISAF) since the invasion in 2001." This may seem a small number by recent loss standards, but the excuse of fighting the CIA invention and bogyman, Al Qaeda is the height of hypocrisy.

It’s Time for a Season Change

The seasons are changing once again, but the political climate remains the same. The leaders of the WAR Party and their mouthpieces in the media only seems to live by an attitude that they are always right and disagreement with their eagerness for their own form of aggression is an affront to our country. The objective for justice, once again, is confused with the rush for perceived retribution. Balance, prudence and harmony are ignored for an improper compulsion to rescue the false pride of a ruling elite. The populace chimes in with a befuddled parody for moral outrage, while lacking a proper understanding or distinction of the self induced causes for our own insecurity.

Urban Living is NOT Civilization

The name B F Skinner was once known to every student and his work was taught as unassailable fact. His theory is based upon the idea that learning is a function of change in overt behavior. Change in behavior is the result of an individual's response to stimuli that occur in the environment. A response produces a consequence. When a particular Stimulus-Response pattern is reinforced, the individual is conditioned to respond.

Liberty for the Ron Paul Generation

The stark reality about the Ron Paul revolution is that the power elites could not survive in a society based upon individual liberty. Nevertheless, this statement does not imply that a Paul presidency would guarantee the elimination of the oligarchy. The faint memory of what a free nation could be or even what our country once was, could be revived under certain circumstances. Imagine the abolishment of the Federal Reserve and the fractional debt created money system. Consider a non-interventionist foreign policy that allows for actual national defense and secures the borders. Or, best of all, a limited government culture that is based upon the principle that government exists to serve citizens in their pursuit of freedom. Thomas Jefferson’s soul lives within the Ron Paul generation.

New World Order Pope - Frankie the Fake

The Catholic Church has a long history, for good and bad, that has shaped the political fortunes of Western Civilization for over two millenniums. From the conversion of the Roman Empire under Constantine to the pagan ridden culture of feast days and devotions to the Great East–West Schism of the 11th century, the “Church” has invited skepticism and criticism while  the spiritual teachings of Jesus Christ took a back seat to the temporal lust for power and dominion. Throughout the turmoil of the Common Era, scholarship and core doctrine professed a profound belief in the teachings in the Gospels, the promise of salvation and the sanctity of individual life.

Western Secularism vs. Russian Christian Revival

When defending Western Civilization, some confuse that secular humanism, practiced as the current dominate popular culture, represents that lineage. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The decadence and decline in the West is undeniable. Yet the heritage upon which European civilization is based, owes a profound debt of gratitude to the societies that developed out of the brute force of empire and adopted principles of natural law and individual dignity. A direct correlation to the gospel of Christ becomes the centerpiece of this glorious tradition of universal brotherhood, that keeps man’s inhumanity to man in check.

What Is This War About?

With the Madrid bombing, continued turmoil in Iraq and constant apprehension of further terrorism, knowing the nature of this conflict is crucial. To begin with, civilization was advanced with The Reconquista (Spanish and Portuguese for reconquest). Expelling the Moorish kingdoms from Spain by the Christian rulers, Ferdinand and Isabella, allowed for the Iberian peninsula to assimilate into Renaissance Europe. With the naval Battle of Lepanto, the Christian fleet destroyed the Ottoman ships off the shore of Greece. When the Battle of Kosovo Polje was fought in 1389, a Turk victory marked the start of  the centuries-long occupation of the Balkans. But with the Battle of Vienna, in 1683 the final turning point in a 250-year struggle between the forces of Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire, the inroads of Islam were halted.

Do Foreigners Have a Right to Enter the United States?

For the purest of Libertarians, their answer would be that no nation should limit the free travel and movement of individuals across borders. Such a conclusion is one of the best illustrations why theory must be founded in reality, for it to have merit. If the optimum criteria is to postulate the best of all possible worlds, you better locate to a fantasy planet where you are the sole monarch. In the real world, governments exist and operate by their prime directive - to protect and preserve the STATE.

The Revival of Righteous Outrage

Guess it takes an Irishman to get the record straight. Hardly a heritage of oppression or a tradition of duplicity, those who trace their lineage back from the Emerald Isle, seem to be among the few who have the courage to speak the unspeakable. So when you hear all the condemnation against Pat Buchanan’s crucial essay, Whose War? - you know the article has hit a raw nerve, that deserves to be exposed. Buchanan poses an essential, and long taboo subject, that defines the issue:
