The Extinction of the Middle Class

For those who retain the capacity of understanding the past, fond memories of a society that once had a vibrant middle class, conveys pride and nostalgia.  Today, the harsh reality is that the United States has been transformed into an unyielding authoritarian command and control gulag.  A mere gap between the ruled and the rulers has turned into a gulf of nationwide width.  The internment camp that relocates undesirables has been built large enough to process your friends and family.  Most simply ignore or deny their plight.  They are bent on living an illusion because they are enjoying the ‘good life’.  It’s only the malcontent that risks the wrath of the central planners.  For the vast majority - the system - still has relevance.

Media Inducted into the Military

That nice-nellyism - S & A - is not even worth the print to spell out the letters. Let’s just call it for what it is: barf and gag! If you ever needed proof of “contrived reality”, just watch all those pretty boys riding high on top of a tank preaching the War Party line as the mechanized panzers shout - “Let’s Roll” . . . This place might be a desert, but the only fox in this wasteland is devouring the chickens - cooped inside a ring of slaughter by GPS ordinance. What a glorious day, celebrating the liberation of disapproving nomads, brought to you by the kvetchsfrom DreamWorks. Add in Lucas Films effects and you get the image that Darth Vader was targeting his laser-wands against the “sand people” to perfection. And all the time we were told they had their own death star?

Home Defense and Fly Over Country

With the continuous message that 'America United' is the theme of the day, why do some of us heap scorn on this notion? Living outside metropolitan areas gives the opportunity to avoid contact with the most rabid proponents of the popular culture. It has long been argued, that the elites that design and project current policy, are suspect in their devotion to American principles. Now we have a frenzy to jump aboard the patriotic bandwagon that is defined by these same admirers of the State. No wonder the media is the champion of the drums for war, they are a target of the Terrorists!

Missing Link That Allows Despotism

With all the talk and rumors of a future impeachment of George W. Bush, some awareness of past perspective needs to take hold of wild fantasies.  All those wishful anti-Bush prognosticators pin their hopes on a Democratic Congressional rout in the November 2006 elections.  Contrast with common sense opponents of Bush administration policies, historic recognition demonstrates that the Clinton precedent was doomed from the beginning.  No doubt William Jefferson Clinton committed treason by his technological transfers to the Chinese Communists, but that kind of subversion is the practice of the global Free Trade policies for decades.  George Walker Bush on the other hand has used the U.S. Constitution as toilet paper in his phony War of Terror.  Again, just another example of “business as usual” by POTUS standards.  The federal government long ago buried the noble Republic.  So why be shocked when imperial fiat becomes capricious law?  So far, who really believes that President Bush will be removed from office by a vote from the Senate?  Impeachment post Clinton, has become a campaign fund raising opportunity.

Midget Minds and Lost Cojones

Americans are a hollow shell of their proud history. Their financial controllers have enslaved the few remaining hard working producers of actual wealth. Those who still cling to a feeble dream of getting ahead rationalize their captivity as the price needed to pay for success. It seems that only government parasites, leeching off the system, remain sheltered from the imminent outlook of a total melt down. The elites have implemented their master plan. All that is left is to gather up the remaining assets of the indebted public through a proscribed national bankruptcy.

No where to go and no where to hide

The European Satellite Navigation System GALILEO, will be the next generation GPS - Global Position System - and a separate tracking technology that will usher in total planetary surveillance. This program is a joint initiative of the European Commission and the European Space Agency (ESA). As stressed in the European Commission White Paper on European transport policy for 2010, the European Union needs an independent satellite navigation system. Galileo is Europe's contribution to a global navigation satellite infrastructure (GNSS).

Taxes, Death and Certainty

Each season when spring approaches, attention turns to the ritual of filling out tax forms.  All year long paying taxes is an integral part of the daily regiment.  But when it comes time to sign your permission slip for legalized thievery, your submission to indentured servitude goes public.  By becoming just another number in the long line of digital compliance under the penalty of perjury, the average citizen is performing his or her financial obligation to the State.  At least that is what you are told is your duty.

Keep it Basic - The Business of Government

Albert Jay Nock said it best:

"The State, both in its genesis and by its primary intention, is purely anti-social. It is not based on the idea of natural rights, but on the idea that the individual has no rights except those that the State may provisionally grant him. It has always made justice costly and difficult of access, and has invariably held itself above justice and common morality whenever it could advantage itself by so doing."

That Republican 2010 Landslide and What It Means

Conventional wisdom has that the Republican Party will kick butt in the midterm elections. Soon the actual results will be posted. Trusting that electronic machines are accurate is totally another matter. What is certain is that incumbents face an uphill battle to retain their privileges. Will it make a meaningful difference if the GOP takes control of the House of Representatives and even the Senate? How many times have you heard this is the most important election ever?

Congressional Resistance against Presidential Despotism

The authoritarian arrogance of the executive branch is defined by their tyrannical decrees. As any reader of BREAKING ALL THE RULES commentary, knows all too well, the dictatorship of central planning and unlawful administration has hijacked our federalist form of a constitutional republic. The primacy of the legislature over the executive branch was always the intent of our founding fathers. Unfortunately, the exact reverse has taken hold in the den of inequity that holds court in Washington, DC.

The Criminal Bar Association

Dick the Butcher: “THE FIRST THING WE DO, LET'S KILL ALL THE LAWYERS”.

Henry VI, part 2 - William Shakespeare

Consider the undeniable systemic problem with the law. Attorney’s police themselves and are not accountable to the public. That’s exactly how lawyers want it. The concept of a Bar Association, comprised of members from the genuine oldest profession, having the dubious distinction of being “officers of the court”, is the height of arrogance. In its most bare and simplistic constitution, to become part of the pretender class, one must swear ultimate allegiance to the State and the Brotherhood. In order to sit at the table, the solicitor agrees to protect his own kind for the privilege of compromising the holy of holies - The Law.

The Eye Sees YOU

When will the policy makers step forward and establish an agency for LIBERTY? Well, as any sincere observer of public affairs knows, government doesn’t have the ability to give you what you already possess - your natural rights. Their function is always to strip you from the means to effectively guard and easily exercise your freedoms. The latest, and surely not the last attempt to regiment society under the dominion of the all seeing eye, is exactly what we have in the Information Awareness Office.

Party Goers - What Do You Take With Your Tea?

The Tea Party phenomenon erupted with a spontaneity seldom seen in a laid back political culture. Whatever your perception or the impression depicted in the media, there is no dispute that Rick Santelli's "rant" on the CME trading floor in Chicago, telecast live by CNBC on Feb. 19, 2009 initiated and tapped into a frustration brewing under the surface. Not exactly, the shot heard round the world; but more like a St Helens explosion, the economic and a moral argument rang clear. "This is America!" Santelli declared. "How many of you people want to pay for your neighbor's mortgage that has an extra bathroom and can't pay their bills?"

The march into internment advances

The past year 2004 started off as a time to go fishing and ends in a tsunami wave of calamity. The relief efforts are portrayed as assistance after the effect of a natural disaster, but the real story for the year is the onslaught of refugee  camps of a very different kind. The condition of the globe is much more at risk from political discord than from an environmental catastrophe. If the planet can rally to aid the suffering from the wrath of mother nature, why is it virtually impossible to resolve the differences from man made conflicts?

The Loyal Opposition

The favorite American sport is politics. Even when the maddening crowd says they hate it, they can’t get enough. Reality TV seems pale in comparison, full contact football looks tame in contrast and GPS bombs test safe, as the duds and blanks of representative democracy unfold for all to see. The ravage caused from the process not only spreads collateral damage, it inflict terminal carnage. The notion that a two party system produces opposing options stretches the limits of hallucination. Nevertheless, people cling to the illusion of choice when the reality is unanimity.

WAR without end !

As the Middle East stands on the verge of a new round of upheaval, can anyone learn from all the centuries of failed relations? It’s almost impossible to conceive that discourse can replace the dread that seems to be the permanent condition for that region. Blame substitutes for shame, hatred impels frenzy and reflection avoids remorse. Regret or goodwill are unfamiliar concepts, as hopelessness and despair replace confidence in a future worth living. Can this tragic cycle be broken, or is the world doomed to an apocalyptic ending that is inevitable?

Accord

With the shift in global alliances, we have a situation that is both fluid and basic in its nature. Countries only have interests. Friends are better found in pets. If the contention is that Bush blow a deal, whoever said there was a pact to be made? Russia has emerged after the terror of the better part of a century as a country who needs friends more than additional enemies. The reason that Russia will cozy up to the West is that they have no where else to turn. Their geography dictates that her borders can never be secure from the threat of what is perceived as Islamic fundamentalism and Chinese expansionism .

How to Correct the Course of America

For every person, answering the question how to correct the course for America, there is a personal viewpoint that often varies upon circumstance. However, the underlying premise is that something is wrong that needs fixing. The couch potatoes drift through life voluntarily removing their involvement from the political process as much as possible. All one needs to upset this tranquility is to strike up a conversation with a stranger and dare bring up any political or social issue and ask for their opinion. Most seldom reflect upon specifics and even fewer are able to lay out a sound and cogent thought for righting the ship of state. Moreover, to the horror of any intelligent citizen, a very significant segment of the public is content with the status quo and sees no reason to change anything.

The Reason Why Governments Fail

Most arguments in support of the established order assumes that laws and their enforcement can achieve a stable and orderly society. This notion fundamentally lies on a shifting foundation. Any society exists within a culture that alters and varies with the current world view that is shared with the institutions and organizations that dominate. Views of individuals that disagree with that consensus, usually pay a price for their refusal to accept the standard that permeates within. Most people seldom if ever question the standards, even if they are uncomfortable with some aspects of it. But does this reality invoke any moral basis for those norms?
